The Tasmanian snow gum (Eucalyptus coccifera) is a small to medium size tree endemic to Tasmania.

It has smooth, grey and cream-coloured bark, elliptic to lance-shaped adult leaves, flower buds in groups of between three and nine, usually white flowers and conical, hemispherical or cup-shaped fruit.

But the real beauty of this tree appears in rainy or misty conditions when parts of the bark reaveal bright yellow to red colours.
