The Blotched Blue-tongue Lizard (Tiliqua nigrolutea) is Tasmania's largest lizard with a length of about 30cm. The lizard is not venimous but it can bite pretty hard so watch your fingers.

The blue-tongue lizard is common in Tasmania and can be found sometimes in residential gardens, especially in the north and east of the state.
