Sunset over Kings Run in the Tarkine

This panorama belongs to :     Nature in Tasmania    The Tarkine    Aboriginal culture

Kings Run is a private property in the wild Tarkine. This particular site is rich in Aboriginal history and has been well preserved by the private owner. Other parts of the Tarkine are under threat from recreational uses such as four-wheel driving and quad biking. The region is also under threat from mining and logging. The Tarkine has the largest tract of temperate rainforest in the southern hemisphere. It needs better protection before it gets destroyed to short-sighted greed.
