Fagus on the Tarn Shelf, Mount Field

This panorama belongs to :     National Parks    Mount Field    Trees

Beautiful autumn day at the Tarn Shelf in Mount Field.

The end of April is the best time to see the 'Fagus' turning. Tasmania’s only deciduous tree, Nothofagus Gunnii, provides a beautiful show in various mountainous spots around the island. Mount Field and Cradle Mountain are well know for Fagus viewing.
