Sandy Bay is a beautiful residential waterfront suburb of Hobart. It has a lovely parks, seaveral beaches and some of the best realestate in Tasmania. Sandy Bay is also home ot the University of Tasmania.

Things to do in Sandy Bay

  • walk on Nutgrove Beach
  • have a meal in one of the many restaurants around the intersection of Sandy Bay Rd and King St
  • walk to Mt Nelson via Bicentennial Park (start on Churchill Avenue)
  • view the Sydney to Hobart yachts arriving in Hobart from one of the many vantage points in Sandy Bay (Alexandra Battery is a good one)
